Opera is the most complex of all the art forms, embracing the visual and the performing arts; the creative talents of singers, dancers, and scenic, costume and lighting designers; directors; conductors and musicians; and technicians and stage hands. They all work collaboratively to bring magnificent works of art to the opera stage.
Florida Grand Opera thrives not only because of the diverse, extraordinary artists who bring it to life, but also because opera goers like you have supported it by becoming Friends, Lyric Society members, and Crown Jewels. With ticket revenue covering only half of Florida Grand Opera’s annual operating budget, we could not exist without your membership support.
Each level of membership brings with it immediate, tangible benefits, along with the joy of knowing that your contributions – at every level – ensure that Florida Grand Opera will continue to inspire children, provide talented young artists with some of the defining moments of their careers, and move audiences of all ages to tears and laughter.

This 32-week career training program enables up to ten young artists each year to further their professional credentials, perform in main stage productions and community venues and participate in the Opera's important education and outreach programs. The program concludes with the Annual Young Artist Showcase, a popular performance open to the public each spring.
- Crescendo Circle
-
Crescendo Circle is an invitation-only group of professionals who support the opera with contributions of time and resources. The members are doctors, lawyers, and executives brought together by a common interest in opera and culture in their community.
On April 15, fifty members of Florida Grand Opera’s Crescendo Circle and their guests celebrated the upcoming opening of Bizet’s Carmen with a Spanish-themed Flamenco party. Mr. Edgar Glen of Antares Wines generously donated the wine; his Dominio de Valdelacasa Cosecha 2005 produced from 120 year-old vines was greatly appreciated by all. Armando Olmedo, Senior Legal Counsel of UNIVISION served as event chairman, and introduced many new participants including Chair for the Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Section of The Florida Bar Nina-Dawne Williams, Esq., to Florida Grand Opera. Graciously hosted by Manon Mohammady in her beautiful Coconut Grove home, the evening’s festivities featured tapas and sangria, as well as the Flamenco guitarist Reynel Ríos and vocalist Jesús Hidalgo.
Diario Las Américas and Miami Monthly provided social press coverage of the event.
For more information about Crescendo Circle, please contact Meredith Keeve at (305) 854-1643, ext. 1204, or at mkeeve@fgo.org.
