Love and Legacy: Preserving our past. Inspiring our future.

Launching in the 2026–2027 Season as part of Florida Grand Opera’s 85th Anniversary celebration, the FGO Legacy Vault is more than a digital living museum—it is a living record of over eight decades of artistry, innovation, and cultural impact. Rooted in the theme of Love and Legacy, the Vault honors the passion that built FGO and the generations of artists, audiences, and supporters who have shaped its story.

Combining cutting-edge digital archives with rare, tangible treasures, the Legacy Vault offers audiences a front-row seat to history—preserving the moments, voices, and memories that define our past while inspiring the future.

Here, you’ll find costumes worn by opera greats, historic recordings, autographed artifacts, and priceless memorabilia from our stages—each paired with rich storytelling that brings their significance to life. Using advanced technology, we restore rare footage, digitize fragile scores, and revive moments once thought lost to time.

The Legacy Vault will honor milestones from our February 14, 1941 debut with founder Arturo di Filippi in Pagliacci, to Luciano Pavarotti’s American debut with FGO, and the company debuts of many of opera’s most legendary voices: Regina Resnick, Renata Tebaldi, Richard Tucker, Birgit Nilsson, Franco Corelli, Plácido Domingo, Renata Scotto, Jon Vickers, Mirella Freni, Diana Soviero, Deborah Voigt, and many others. We’ll also highlight the original productions of today that have captured international attention.

We do it for the love of opera. We do it to honor the legacy of Florida Grand Opera.

Why Support: Help us preserve, digitize, and reimagine our history so it can inspire opera lovers for generations to come.

Where FGO pushes the boundaries.

The FGO Innovation Hub is a groundbreaking initiative redefining the boundaries of opera. It’s a creative incubator where artists, technologists, and audiences come together to fuse cutting-edge technology, innovative performance techniques, and diverse musical traditions into something entirely new.

In the 2024–2025 season, technology took center stage in FGO’s original production of The Magic Flute, bringing new visual dimensions to a timeless classic. In the upcoming 2025–2026 season, audiences will be wowed by innovative technological integrations in our mainstage productions—further proof that the future of opera is already here.

Miami audiences were electrified by Hit Me with Music—a bold fusion of reggae’s vibrant rhythms and opera’s grandeur at the Miami Beach Bandshell. The Hub also debuted Triângulo, an opera in development that fuses mixed martial arts with a score inspired by Brazilian rhythms, Caribbean beats, 1990s pop, and hip hop.

Why Support

The Innovation Hub thrives on visionary donors who believe in experimentation and the thrill of pushing artistic boundaries. Your contribution helps commission new works, explore emerging technologies, and give artists the space to take creative risks that expand what opera can be.

“The FGO Innovation Hub is the technological embodiment of creativity under the leadership of their energetic and transformational leader. Like my work in healthcare and AI, we share the mission of improving lives. The beauty and message of opera have long been a vital component of that mission. But, just as in healthcare, the old way of doing things won’t achieve the ultimate goal of full generational and cultural engagement. The FGO Innovation Hub will show audiences that new technology in the arts isn’t about replacing performers—it’s about captivating and seducing audiences. It’s no surprise FGO is leading the way in such a creative and humanistic manner!”
