A team of dedicated Florida Grand Opera (FGO) staff and volunteers are on a mission to uncover 83 years of operatic history, unearthing long-lost pieces of South Florida’s rich cultural heritage. As the oldest operating arts institution in Florida, FGO houses artifacts that date back to its earliest years, including recordings of opera legends who have graced its stage, such as Luciano Pavarotti, who made his U.S. debut at FGO, and Joan Sutherland. This collection also honors the legacy of FGO’s founder, Arturo di Filippi.
Join us in our journey of unearthing and revealing these fascinating finds.
