Florida Grand Opera brings the magic of live opera to the open air with three unforgettable evenings — no experience required, just a love of great music and stories.
Opera in the Movies (Jan 8, 7:30PM) kicks things off with a live orchestra and chorus performing the opera scores that shaped cinema’s most iconic moments — from *The Shawshank Redemption* to *The Godfather* — while the films play overhead in real time.
The Barber of Seville (Jan 9, 7:30PM) brings Rossini’s comic masterpiece to life, as Figaro schemes, Count Almaviva swoons, and the sharp-witted Rosina outsmarts them all — a bel canto explosion of chaos, comedy, and irresistible melody.
Opera Remix (Jan 10, 7:00PM) closes the series with Miami’s grand finale, where world-class operatic voices collide with Latin music, reggae, jazz, and EDM artists in genre-bending collaborations that prove opera speaks every language this city knows.
